Directors serving on a corporate board and candidates who
intend to serve on corporate boards who are interested in,
and committed to, mastering the structure and dynamics of
corporate governance.
The Directors College
The Directors College* will oversee the development of training
and other programming in conjunction with its founding partners,
the CONFERENCE
BOARD OF CANADA and THE
DEGROOTE SCHOOL OF BUSINESS.
The Directors College takes a two-track approach to professional
development and continuing education for corporate directors.
The first track focuses on participants who want to earn
accreditation as a Chartered Director (C. Dir.). These participants
will complete the five modules that make up the complete curriculum.
The Chartered Director accreditation process includes an examination,
which is based on course materials and instruction from all
five modules.
The second track is geared to participants who prefer to
hone their skills in particular areas, by selecting and completing
some individual modules, without completing the whole curriculum.
Our program is designed for directors who already serve on
corporate boards, or candidates who intend to serve on corporate
boards and want to master the structure and dynamics of corporate
governance.
The program’s curriculum is tailored to the culture
of Canadian business. It raises the bar for professional standards
and looks at the critically important interaction between
corporate governance and corporate social responsibility.
