Granting of the "Chartered Director" designation is a primary focus of
the Directors College. (Participants will however, also have the option
of pursuing professional development opportunities that do not lead to
designation.)
Key steps to becoming a Chartered Director* include:
- Registration as a Chartered Director* candidate
- Successfully completing the five modules that make up The Directors
College curriculum
(Note: attendance for all sessions of all five modules is mandatory)
- Passing the Chartered Directors* Program Examination
- Subscribing to The Directors College*
Code of Conduct
- Committing to undertake
Continuing Professional Development
- Being admitted as a Chartered Director*
For those Chartered Directors who complete the College's
continuing education and practical experience requirements for a period
of five consecutive years (after being awarded their C. Dir. designation),
they will be allowed to petition for a second tier certification allowing
them to also use the designation "P. Dir."(*) after their names.
